From idea to validation to launch 🚀

Background

BOI and Nestle collaborate on multiple accelerators, conducting testing on potential new products prior to their market debut. The particular accelerator initiative at hand revolved around the development of Nestle Nescafe's premium Espresso Concentrate Coffee and shop testing it in select Kroger stores.My role was in developing the Nescafe Espresso website, designing potential bottles to test,  and creating visually engaging content for the ad tests we ran.

Approach & my role

Phase 1: Wireframing

Created a wireframe of the website on Figma, including a branding board. and then walked the client through the wireframe, highlighting where I needed their content input before I began designing on Shopify.

Phase 2: Website & content creation

I created the website based on the wireframe and content input, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly design. This included producing all product images, conducting product photography, and developing detailed product recipes to enhance the website's appeal and provide comprehensive information to customers.

Phase 3: Refinement and Launch

I refined the website according to client feedback, ensuring it met their expectations and delivered an optimal user experience. After the launch, I provided continuous maintenance and updates to keep the site running smoothly and efficiently.

Phase 1

Wireframing and collaborative content development

In this phase, I conducted an initial meeting with the client to get the brand guidelines and understand their vision for the website. Following up on that, I created a wireframe and brand board for the website, where I asked the client to input the final copy approved by legal. Once we had the sign off on the prototype, I began designing in Shopify, their IT mandated tool for sites.

Phase 2

Website creation & visual content development

I was responsible for creating the entire website, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. This included shooting and editing a captivating video banner and product demo, as well as a stop-motion recipe video to add a dynamic visual element. 

I designed recipe cards to enhance the website's content and developed a user-friendly store locator page to help customers easily find store locations.

Phase 3

Testing & Launch

We successfully launched a shop test at select Kroger stores, which proved to be a success. As a result, the product has now been officially launched in stores across Australia and China. Nestle is set to expand further in the coming years, reaching more markets and customers worldwide.
